Works

Biography

Born in 1961. After graduating from Tama Art University, he worked as Director for video artworks and music video projects. Afterward, he worked in the Vibe/MTV Japan On-Air Promotions Department as Creative Director, working on the production of channel branding and program packages, station-ID contests, etc. He has won the Award of Excellence at the Japan Media Arts Festival. He also concentrates his time and efforts in training young artists.

In 2001, he left MTV Japan to join P.I.C.S. as an independent producer.  He currently produces a wide range of works not necessarily restricted to the media category, including commercials, music videos, web content, as well as planning and development of original content, campaigns, and exhibitions; for example photography museum exhibitions such as the “Music Video: A Vehicle for a New Sensitivity,” among others. He was a judge at the Japan Media Arts Festival (2004 to 2006, and 2010 to 2012), and works as a professor in the Department of Information Design of the Faculty of Art and Design at Tama Art University (2013 – to present day).
